Kutokana na tafiti nyingi zilizofanyika, wataalamu wameona kwamba kitendo cha mama kumnyonyesha mtoto kwa matiti yake huchangia katika kupunguza uwezekano wa mama kupata saratani (cancer) ya matiti. If breast cancer is diagnosed early the outlook is good, but still many women loose their lives because of inadequate access to information, late diagnosis and inadequate and delayed treatment.
